OpenSIPIt is a community-driven interoperability testing event with the aim of ensuring various independent open-source SIP implementations are realizing new and emerging SIP-related RFCs correctly , while remaining fully and easily interoperable at the “basic SIP” level.
Our objective is to test that Open Source SIP implementations are capable to efficiently interoperate with each other using relatively modern SIP-Talk (IPv6, PRACK, TLS). Under both normal and adverse conditions including but not limited to:
- Overload;
- Unusual network configuration;
- Abnormal packet loss and high latency;
- Dynamic Memory shortage;
- Abuse by highly skilled and motivated individuals / organizations for “Fun and Profit”[tm];
- Talking to an implementation you’ve never been tested with before.
Help to test brand-new open-source SIP implementations and new extensions in established implementations, find and fix bugs, make overall improvements, identify areas that need additional work.
Interact with colleagues, learn new things, share the knowledge.
Have fun in the process!
